MODULE 0: Orientation and Diagnostic
MODULE 1: ABA Foundations
The exam does not have a domain called "Foundations," but every domain assumes you are fluent in these concepts. Reinforcement shows up in Behavior Acquisition questions. Motivating operations show up in Behavior Reduction questions. Verbal operants show up everywhere. Master this module and every later module gets easier.

Module 1 Exam: 40 Questions, Mixed Scenarios
MODULE 2: Data Collection and Graphing (Domain A)
Exam weight: about 13 of 75 scored questions. | What this domain really tests: choosing the right measurement for a behavior, knowing how each discontinuous method distorts data, reading graphs, and doing simple calculations. It is the most "technical" domain, and it is also the most learnable. Most candidates can push this domain to near perfect with practice.

DOMAIN A EXAM: 35 Questions, Timed (40 minutes)
MODULE 3: Behavior Assessment (Domain B)
Exam weight: about 8 of 75 scored questions. | What this domain really tests: the RBT's ASSIST role. You do not design assessments and you do not interpret them; you conduct preference assessments as directed, collect assessment data accurately, and know which assessment does what. The single highest yield skill here is telling the preference assessment types apart in scenarios, followed by distinguishing the three functional assessment methods.

DOMAIN B EXAM: 25 Questions, Timed (25 minutes)
MODULE 4: Behavior Acquisition (Domain C)
Exam weight: about 19 of 75 scored questions. The largest domain on the exam. If a member can only master one module, it is this one. | What this domain really tests: running teaching procedures correctly. Almost every question is a scenario: "the RBT does X, what procedure is this" or "the learner does Y, what should the RBT do next." The vocabulary from Module 1 (reinforcement, schedules, SDs, verbal operants) is assumed everywhere here.

DOMAIN C EXAM: 50 Questions, Timed (55 minutes)
MODULE 5: Behavior Reduction (Domain D)
Exam weight: about 14 of 75 scored questions. The second largest domain. | What this domain really tests: identifying the function of behavior from scenarios (the single highest yield skill on the entire exam), matching interventions to functions, and running reduction procedures with fidelity and safety. Nearly every question is a mini-story: read the antecedent, read the consequence, name the function, pick the function matched response.

DOMAIN D EXAM: 40 Questions, Timed (45 minutes)
MODULE 6: Documentation and Reporting (Domain E)
Exam weight: about 10 of 75 scored questions. | What this domain really tests: judgment. When to contact the supervisor and how urgently, what belongs in a session note and what does not, and how to handle client information lawfully. Almost every question is a "what should the RBT do" scenario, and the correct answer consistently favors timely communication, objective language, and secure handling.

DOMAIN E EXAM: 30 Questions, Timed (30 minutes)
MODULE 7: Ethics (Domain F)
Exam weight: about 11 of 75 scored questions. | What this domain really tests: judgment under the RBT Ethics Code. This is the fully rebuilt domain of the 3rd edition, with explicit tasks covering core principles, competence, supervision, confidentiality, public statements, boundaries, dignity, and the entirely new cultural humility task. Ethics questions are "best answer" questions by nature: several options may sound defensible, and the correct one consistently protects the client, respects the supervision structure, and errs toward transparency.
